Living with passion

Here are two questions:

• Does passion really matter?
• Do you believe in yourself enough to make it happen?

The answer to both of these should be YES.  Yes, passion matters.  And, yes, you have to believe in yourself enough to make it happen. Passion is what makes you go out in the world as an entrepreneur.  The rest of the world is happy just getting by while you are trying to make the world a better place.  You have something created inside of you that has to be let out. Honestly, I struggle with this.  I know I have a lot to offer and enjoy coaching budding entrepreneurs.  Yet, there is a little voice inside my head that keeps asking, “Do you really know enough to help?  Is it worth it to put all of this time into a blog and all these videos?” We all have a voice inside of us that tries to stop us.  It is called ‘resistance’ and it is how we know we are on the right track.  We have to push past the voice and realize that we were put on this earth to make a difference in the lives around us. I am not talking about hearing voices, I am talking about your inner talk.  We all think to ourselves.  How we think about ourselves creates the person we show others.  I am sure we have all seen people who are not confident and live a crazy life to cover up for it.  (Just watch some reality shows!) Your inner talk can literally make or break you.  As we talk about passion, you must take control of your inner talk. You must believe in yourself and literally tell yourself that you deserve success. I love to help others and help them succeed.  I believe I know how to teach and lead others.  However, putting up videos for the whole world to see is hard for me.  I would rather coach someone one on one, but I know that I can reach so many others by putting myself ‘out there.’ I do it because I believe that I can help you. I have something to offer and no matter how many times I resist it, I know there is one person in this world who needs to hear what I have to say.  Maybe that person is you or the next person who watches this video or reads this blog.  The key is that I took action in spite of my fears because I focused on who I can help. Helping budding entrepreneurs is my passion. You have something to offer also.  Don’t let the little voice in your head stop you.  Revisit your passion; decide why you are doing what you are doing.  Put it out there and let the world see what you are passionate about. ACTION ITEM:  Remember, entrepreneurs take action.

1. Go to a mirror. 
2. Look yourself in the eyes. 
3. Tell yourself that you deserve success (outloud).

This may sound silly and you may want to do it when no one else is around, but you must begin to ‘see’ yourself for the success that you want to be.  You must see through the eyes of your passion and not through your fears. Passion puts gas in your gas tank. If you want to really fill up, every morning look yourself in the eye and think positive thoughts about who you are and what you will accomplish.  You will become what you see and say in your head.
